New Lino Lakes School the First New Horizon Academy to Implement Solar Energy

In a groundbreaking move toward sustainability, New Horizon Academy has installed solar panels at its school in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. This initiative supports New Horizon Academy’s ongoing efforts to minimize its carbon footprint and contribute to a greener environment.
The solar panels, designed and installed by All Energy Solar, will provide electricity to the Minnesota daycare facility year-round – even in the snowy months. “Over the next 25 years, [the] solar energy will help to avoid 1,106 metric tons of CO2, “noted All Energy Solar. ” This is equivalent to 28,371 trees planted, 233 passenger vehicles taken off the road for a year, and 124,742 gallons of gas consumed.”
New Horizon Academy plans to implement more solar energy solutions in new and existing schools in the coming years. The nationally recognized childcare provider takes pride in contributing to a more sustainable future.
