New Horizon Academy Partners with Doing Good Together to Host Family Service Fairs

New Horizon Academy recently partnered with Doing Good Together to host family service nights at our East St. Paul and Maplewood childcare centers. Families came together to complete a variety of service-learning projects for local organizations. Combined, the schools made 86 cat toys, 23 book bags, 27 jewelry kits, 30 snack packs, and 17 meal bags. The events were a huge success and gave families the opportunity to give back to their own community.

These family service fairs were part of New Horizon Academy’s Caring Beyond the Classroom initiative. The program was created as a way to make a difference in our communities and teach children about the importance of social responsibility, empathy, kindness, and compassion towards others.

We thank all of the families that came to volunteer. We also thank Doing Good Together for preparing the service-learning projects.
