New Horizon Academy – Elk River Achieves Re-Accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children

New Horizon Academy in Elk River has achieved re-accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is the nation’s premier organization for early childhood accreditation and represents the mark of high quality in early childhood education.
To maintain accreditation, New Horizon Academy-Elk River completed a rigorous process of self-study, demonstrated high-quality programming in all NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards, participated in an on-site visit by an early childhood expert, and underwent a final review by the NAEYC commission.
To be NAEYC accredited means that you must meet standards that far exceed state licensing’s highest requirements. A child attending an accredited school will get the highest quality, both in the developmental programming for young children and in the health and safety of the environment.
“It is a huge accomplished and such an honor to have our school continue being nationally accredited by the most elite organization in early childhood education,” said Katie Kantor, Director of New Horizon Academy-Elk River.
One hundred percent of eligible New Horizon Academy schools are accredited. This is an accomplishment no other child care provider of our size has achieved, and only six percent of early childhood programs nationwide are accredited. As an accredited program, New Horizon Academy – Elk River joins a select group of early childhood education centers distinguished by our quality, our commitment to young children, and our dedication to excellence.
