National Child Care Company Expands into Colorado

PLYMOUTH, MN (May 14, 2018) — New Horizon Academy, a Minnesota-based family-owned and operated child care provider, has begun construction of its first Colorado school at the Denver Tech Center, 10472 E. Easter Ave., in Centennial, and broken ground on a second location in Stapleton, at 9200 E. 40th Ave. The new schools join a growing footprint of 70 New Horizon Academy locations in and around the Twin Cities of Minnesota, four in Idaho and two in Iowa.
“At New Horizon, we are constantly tracking the regions with the greatest need for high-quality early learning and child care,” said Chad Dunkley, CEO of New Horizon Academy. “Colorado’s booming population, with a shortage of child care openings, was a top market when we planned our national expansion.” Dunkley notes the company plans to add four locations in the state within the coming year.
The current New Horizon Academy locations in development are equipped to care for 376 children, ages six weeks through five years. The new Centennial location is anticipated to open in August. The company expects its Stapleton site to open in September. The schools feature state-of-the-art, well-equipped and age-appropriate classrooms, and playgrounds that are thoughtfully designed to enhance learning through play.
New Horizon Academy has been serving families since 1971, and provides highly trained teachers, a proven curriculum, and safe and secure facilities, all aimed at supporting children’s self-esteem and preparing them for kindergarten and beyond. New Horizon Academy is a nationally recognized high quality early learning provider with all of its eligible centers accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the gold standard in its industry. New Horizon Academy’s mission is to provide the best child development on the planet. For more information, call 720-419-3353 or visit www.NewHorizonAcademy.net
