New Horizon Academy Donates Over 9,000 Books to Reach Out and Read

During the month of February, New Horizon Academy schools across Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, and Minnesota held an annual book drive in honor of I Love to Read Month. Children, families, and staff worked together to collect new and gently used children’s books for Reach Out and Read, a US nonprofit that promotes reading and early literacy.

As a result, New Horizon Academy schools collected 9,318 books throughout February 2023. This number helps contribute to New Horizon Academy’s running total contribution of over 75,000 book donations since 2012! This book drive was part of New Horizon Academy’s Caring Beyond the Classroom initiative.
